Cross Border Travel

A large number of U.S. corporate and charter operators are expected and welcome to fly into the lower mainland to attend the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Those wishing to fly into a facility located in the OCA may do so from a Canadian Portal airport, by staging through a U.S. Gateway airport, or by arranging processing and departure from a DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP) airport.

All operators must register their respective organization, crews and aircraft with R&FA as far in advance of travel as possible. They will receive Individual Registration Codes (IRC) for their crews, and a UserID and Password for the Flight Authorization (FA) Request page of the web site. A minimum of five days prior to OCA penetration they must log into the FA Request page, begin the FA Request process, and indicate their preferred Portal, Gateway or DASSP airport.

After choosing their inbound facility, Portal users will complete their FA Request in accordance with the "Canadian Portal Procedures" link below. Gateway users and DASSP members will receive a provisional FA Code and proceed in accordance with the "U.S. Gateway Procedures" link.
