Flight Authorization Program

CZBB Flight Schools

General

1.  All training flights operating from Boundary Bay airport are required to request and receive a FA code prior to filing a flight plan.

2.  IRC must be listed for all personnel on board each flight.

3.  Non-registered individuals are not permitted on board any training aircraft (in the OCA).

4.  Training flights planning to land outside the OCA must request a separate FA code to reenter the OCA and return to Boundary Bay.

5.  Training flights that exit the OCA, but remain in continuous radio contact with and receive radar monitoring from ATC throughout their flight, will be permitted to reenter the OCA with the same FA code.

A. Aircraft proceeding outside the Olympic Rings (30NM) should request a return FA regardless, and if it is not required they may cancel it upon returning to the OCA.

6.  A valid FA code must be entered in the remarks section of the flight plan filed with ATS/ATC.

A. Failure to enter a valid FA code on the flight plan may result in delays when the aircraft requests IFR and/or takeoff clearance

7.  Training flights will not be permitted to take off unless/until a valid FA code or an R&FA release has been received by ATC.

Bulk FA Requests

1.  Flight school OCtc may submit bulk FA requests to R&FA.

A. Separate forms must be submitted for each departure airport.

B. Bulk requests should be submitted at least eighteen hours before the first departure time listed on the form (the afternoon prior), as processing and return submission will normally take place during quiet hours (evening/overnight).

2.  Bulk FA requests may include several aircraft, and list single or multiple flights for each.

3.  R&FA will process bulk FA requests, generate a unique FA code for each flight, and return the correlated flights and codes to the submitting OCtc and POJ at the security screening facility.

4.  OCtc must ensure that FA codes assigned by R&FA are issued to the appropriate flight crew/aircraft.

A. IRC and individuals will be matched with FA codes by POJ at the screening point (individuals require the picture-ID used for registration).

B. An improperly assigned FA code will delay that particular flight, and those behind as well.
