Restricted Zones
Special restrictions have been implemented for operations within Class-F airspace referred as theRestricted Zones (RZ).
Seven RZ have been established over Olympic Venues, Athletes' Villages and the Olympic media centre. They vary in size, depending upon the number and geographic layout of the venues enclosed within each, and they are capped at 4,000 ft over the city of Vancouver in the south and 8,000 feet over mountainous terrain to the north.
Operations in Olympic RZ will be limited to emergency, security and specially authorized media aircraft.
